DIAMOND BAR, CA, UNITED STATES, August 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Simplain Software Solutions, the leading solution provider for retail & wholesale commercial intelligence, announced that Pasquelo Tate joins Simplain as the Director of Sales & Business development.

Pasquelo Tate is no stranger to the space of grocery technology. Throughout his 25+ years of career, he held several key leadership positions in prominent grocery SaaS companies across pricing optimization solutions, advanced analytics, and loyalty personalization. He brings experience working with food retailers and wholesalers across North America, as well as expertise in strategic digital transformation enablement.

Now, he is dedicated to expanding Simplain’s reach and re-introducing its flagship product – StreamCollab (previously named Simplain Vendor Portal) – to a broader audience.

Q: What attracted you to this opportunity at Simplain?

A: First and foremost, I have a deep respect for the retail and grocery industry, which has given me the opportunity to tackle some of the most complex challenges faced by retailers as they work to help their customers feed and support their families. Simplain has been a committed player in this space for over a decade, and through my work with mutual clients, I’ve witnessed their strong reputation and impact.

When presented with the chance to join Simplain, I was eager to reconnect with the latest innovations in commercial intelligence. Once I learnt more about the product and the company, I was immediately impressed by how much technology has evolved and how Simplain has addressed the limitations of earlier solutions. Joining the team was an easy decision.

Q: For those who aren’t familiar with StreamCollab, how would you introduce the platform to them?

A: I would confidently state that StreamCollab is likely the only fully closed-loop, end-to-end commercial intelligence platform in the industry. It manages every aspect of the collaboration ecosystem—from the initial vendor relationship through to rebate reconciliation in the financial back office—all seamlessly handled within a single, unified platform.

We are the host of your operation data ecosystem. Within this platform, the data is dynamic, fresh, and clean. The users, who are retailer team members and vendors, are constantly interacting with each other based on the jointly created and maintained single-source-of-truth. This should be the data gatekeeper of your backend ERP fortress.

Q: What are your top priorities for your first 90 days and the rest of 2026?

A: My top priority is to do no harm. I am committed to delivering maximum business value and competitive advantage to our prospective partners while minimizing disruption to their existing operations. The first 90 days will be an exciting period of reconnecting with partners and collaborating with my talented new colleagues to build strong relationships.

For the rest of 2026, my goal is for the entire industry to succeed, so my primary focus is ensuring we are fully prepared and dedicated to delivering on our commitments. Currently, the entire retail industry is navigating through unprecedented volatility. I want to show our customers (and other fellow retailers) that we are here alongside with them to provide as much help and guidance as we can to help them move forward with confidence.

Q: What are some of the biggest opportunities grocers are facing, and how can Simplain help with those opportunities?

A: The core value is fixing your operational data. What trouble retailers right now is that they have a lot of dirty data, they are missing data, and they don’t have visibility towards what went wrong / what was missing after execution. At the current stage we are in, they also need to capture the demand faster and prepare for the AI / advanced analytic adaptation. They can’t execute the latter effectively without fixing the former.

That’s where we step in and help grocers to discover what they’re missing, clean up the data, and compile the data into a format that AI engines can effectively digest and come back with the most optimized results — all in one single platform. When grocers are planning ahead, they can look back and clearly identify what worked and what didn’t.

Q: Looking ahead, what do you envision Simplain’s future?

A: We’re a product company, and our product evolution is always only centered around customer feedback and industry insights. That will never change. As if now, I envision Simplain will have deeper penetration into the commercial intelligence realm where we are more connected with trade fund allocation and personalization. This might look like something where data science will allow for recommendations on where the funds would be best served not simply from a forecasting standpoint, but from strategic customer journey orchestration position.

With that, the evolution of commercial intelligence naturally has a connection to shopper marketing campaigns where none used funds can be repurposed or exposed to loyalty marketing campaigns to drive greater value to the customers.
