Arlington, VA, Oct. 06, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Actor, comedian and musician Craig Robinson recently partnered with the USO to visit four military installations across Alaska, bringing live entertainment and moments of connection to service members stationed away from home.
Robinson, joined by comedian Ralph Roberts, visited Eielson Air Force Base, Fort Wainwright, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson and U.S. Coast Guard Base Kodiak, where they performed live comedy shows to uplift service members and strengthen their well-being. Robinson’s lively routine featured his famous keyboard, crowd sing-alongs and a karaoke-style atmosphere.
“Spending time with service members in Alaska was amazing,” said Craig Robinson. “Ralph and I came to bring some laughs, music and good energy, but I think we may have left just as inspired as everyone else. Getting to meet these service members, hear their stories and see what they do up close was really special. And yes, I can confirm there are some service members in Alaska who know how to sing.”
Throughout the week, Robinson explored sites across each installation and connected with service members to learn more about their mission and experiences. The visit included meals with service members, a tour of the Innovations Lab at the Training Support Center at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson and an up-close view of an F-35A Lightning II at Eielson.

In Alaska, many military communities can often be separated by vast distances. The USO helps provide entertainment tours as a reminder that their service is valued and appreciated.
“USO Entertainment Tours give service members a chance to laugh, connect and know how deeply their service is appreciated, no matter where they are stationed,” said USO CEO Courtney L. Billington. “We’re incredibly grateful to Craig Robinson and Ralph Roberts for bringing their time, humor and genuine appreciation to military communities across Alaska. Their visit helped service members recharge and feel supported.”
Robinson has been on multiple USO tours, including a tour to South Korea in December of 2025 where he helped bring holiday spirit to service members and their families, and a virtual USO tour to provide much needed moments of connection for deployed service members in the Middle East in May 2020, during the global COVID-19 pandemic.
His Alaska tour offered service members a chance to step away from their daily routines, share moments of laughter, and spend time with Robinson who came to listen, learn and show appreciation for their service.
