SOMERS, Mont. — July 6, 2026 — Paddle Board Outfitters, the family-run water sports outfitter based on the shores of Flathead Lake in Somers, Montana, is marking 15 years in operation this summer. What began as a paddleboard rental business in 2011 has grown into a full-service outfitter offering stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, jet skis, and boat rentals to visitors and locals across the Flathead Valley.
Owner Chris Hogan launched Paddle Board Outfitters with the goal of connecting people with Flathead Lake in a way that felt accessible regardless of their experience on the water.
“Fifteen years goes fast when you love what you’re doing. Flathead Lake does most of the work, and we just make sure people can get out on it,” said Chris Hogan, Owner of Paddle Board Outfitters.
Paddle Board Outfitters operates during the summer season out of its location at 5493 US-93 S in Somers, where the business has served as a first stop for visitors looking to get on the water. Hourly, half-day, and full-day rental options are available across the full fleet, with free delivery offered on rentals of two or more days in select areas.
The 15-year milestone comes as Montana’s outdoor recreation economy continues to grow.
