This partnership arrives at a pivotal moment for the DIB. With the Department of War’s Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) now appearing in contract language, more than 220,000 defense contractors and subcontractors must demonstrate CMMC Level 2 compliance to remain eligible for DoW work. For most small and mid-sized firms — the firms that make up the overwhelming majority of the DIB and the broader Government Contracting (GovCon) community — traditional compliance paths require 6 to 12 months, multiple disconnected tools and consulting fees that quickly exceed six figures.
