Women’s representation in private equity grows but is still thin at senior levels—the summit gives women in M&A space to build knowledge and relationships
DENVER, CO, UNITED STATES, August 18, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Women in Mergers & Acquisitions Network (WoMAN) will host its inaugural Impact & Growth Summit on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at The Curtis Hotel in downtown Denver, a full-day gathering built specifically for women working across the M&A deal lifecycle, from sourcing through integration, to share knowledge, build mentorship relationships and refer business to one another.
The Summit arrives as the industry itself is shifting, if slowly. A new PwC report, “The Slow Revolution: Women in Private Equity and Alternatives, 2017 to 2025,” found that women’s share of the global PE workforce rose from 17.9% to 25.4% over that eight-year span, meaningful progress, but the gains thin out at the top. The 2025 Columbia Business School study cited in the report found that across 661 U.S. PE firms, women make up 22% of investment professionals but hold just 6% of senior roles.
The Summit pairs technical dealmaking content with leadership development across two concurrent tracks: M&A Industry Trends and Leadership & Professional Development, alongside keynotes, a fireside chat, curated networking, and a closing reception.
“We’re convening the women who make M&A happen, from sourcing and diligence to integration and value creation,” said Jen Thompson, President of WoMAN. “This will be a room full of women who understand the complexity, pace and pressure of deal work and are committed to supporting each other and growing their impact in the industry.”
Featured keynote speakers include:
•Jen Thompson — President, WoMAN; M&A Integration & Strategy Consultant
•Marla DiCarlo — CEO, BizNavigators; SMB Managing Director, SDR Ventures; former CEO of Raincatcher, and recognized as the Inc. No. 1 Business Broker and one of Denver’s Top 50 Women CEOs. (Opening Keynote: ” Deals, Drama, and Due Diligence: Why Women Make M&A Better”)
