Ideal Garage Doors Donates $5,000 to City Missions in Plano

Dallas, Texas Aug 27, 2026 (Issuewire.com) Celebrating their 15th year in  business, Ideal Garage Doors gave the community a chance to nominate their favorite local charity to help determine the recipient of the gift.

Nominations took place over several weeks in August. Hundreds of people chimed in on their chosen non-profit. This was an opportunity to shine a light on all the great work being done to help others in need. There were numerous worthy organizations nominated for helping the DFW community.

City Missions was the chosen recipient. The organization walks alongside those who are experiencing homelessness. They provide immediate needs such as socks, clothing, and hygiene kits through their Rock the Socks program. They also have a mobile closet and do food distribution.

Just as importantly, City Missions seeks to build relationships with the homeless people they encounter in order to help them feel valued.

Finally, City Missions creates pathways to housing by connecting people with trusted partners for shelter, medical care, and other needs.
