ONT Field named Ballpark of the Year
PR Newswire
ONTARIO, Calif., Sept. 2, 2026
ONTARIO, Calif., Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Ontario International Airport welcomed news today that ONT Field, home of the Ontario Tower Buzzers, the Single-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, has been named the 2026 BaseballParks.com Ballpark of the Year. The award recognizes the venue as one of the premier fan experiences in Minor League Baseball.
“Being named Ballpark of the Year is an incredible honor for ONT Field and a tremendous point of pride for our region,” said Atif Elkadi, chief executive officer of the Ontario International Airport Authority. “We’re proud to have the ONT name associated with that success. And just as important, our airline partners help connect this growing region to destinations across the country and around the world, bringing visitors here and making experiences like ONT Field part of what makes the Inland Empire such an exciting place to visit, live and do business. Congratulations to everyone who made this recognition possible.”
Designed by global design firm Populous, in partnership with the City of Ontario, Diamond Baseball Holdings and the Ontario Tower Buzzers, ONT Field was selected for the award for its “impeccable execution” of a unique aviation theme and the City of Ontario’s commitment to creating a “best in class” professional baseball experience.
ONT Field draws on its proximity to Ontario International Airport with thematic experiences throughout the venue, from a center field food hall inspired by a baggage-claim carousel to the left field concourse designed as an interactive runway that, along with a vintage airplane, lights up following a Tower Buzzers home run.
From its inception, ONT Field was envisioned as a fully immersive fan experience. The Tower Buzzers’ aviation-themed brand is brought to life through engaging architecture, dynamic storytelling and family-friendly entertainment throughout the ballpark.
ONT recently filmed a safety video at ONT featuring its airline partners that will air before all events.
“ONT Field is the realization of a vision that could only happen in Ontario,” said Allan Benevides, General Manager of the Ontario Tower Buzzers. “The ballpark’s commitment to intentionality and authentic story telling in every facet of our venue has created a true home for fans of the sport in this community.”
